A proud native “Caviteña”, is how the current Publisher and President of People’s Bulletin would like to describe herself, connecting her humble beginnings at Imus, Cavite. She graduated from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas in the Province of Cavite with a degree of BSBA Business Management.

Before managing People’s Bulletin, she was trained as a highly-motivated professional in the most dynamic corporate environment, managing individual to top corporations in the field of sales and marketing, facilitating events and marketing programs for top corporations and multi-national companies. Her intensive experience in the work environment has given her a strong work ethic, management, organizational and interpersonal skills in a highly-competitive corporate atmosphere.

Her knowledge was expounded through her experiences from local and multi-national companies in the first twelve (12) years of her career. Born in a very comfortable family with her parents and three siblings during her younger years in the town of Imus, Cavite, her mother Leonida “Yda” Nerona Villanueva, being a fashion designer, an insurance manager and a licensed broker, and with his father, Delfin “Del” Esplana Villanueva, a radio commentator, a news correspondent at a largest and leading newspaper from 1980’s, The Manila Bulletin, and a journalist to many politicians and prominent personalities in print media.

As young as thirteen (13) years old, she was trained to manage a recording bar, a family owned business, operated by her family since 1980’s, which lasted during her teens. Her mother being a single parent during those days, influenced her to take up business management instead of pursuing journalism in college. Being a frustrated journalist, her passion for writing and communication arts were set aside. Majority of her career prospered in the field of sales and events marketing, dealing with the most average people up to the higher ranks. This is where writing proposals and initiating events and marketing mechanics became her expertise.

She tried to pursue a higher degree and earned 27 units in the Graduate School of Business in DLSU-Dasmariñas, but God moves in a very mysterious ways, after all the adversities and challenges, she was back to her first love and passion-writing. She may not be the journalist she used to aspire, but she now heads the Editorial Team of People’s Bulletin, which are composed of young and old journalists. Her background and exposure in managing sales and marketing up to administrative functions are now vital in continuously growing the operations of this publication. A perfect example of “Real People. Real Stories.”
